This week, we’re saying goodbye to our communication and education interns. Each has been a tremendous help this summer and we are going to miss them! We asked what their internship at the GTM Research Reserve meant to them:

Communication intern, Rachel Keeley says, “Working as an intern at the GTM Research Reserve this summer was great! I gained hands-on experience working in my field and fine-tuned my writing skills.”

Dana Russell (center), one of our education interns said, “It’s really opened my eyes to the hard work being done to help conserve our natural resources.”

Erin Elliot, another education intern reflects, “This whole experience has been amazing. It’s a privilege to be given the opportunity to work here. I loved every minute of it.”

“I was able to accomplish my goal of helping my students learn to love science,” said Mariana Quedaza.

A special thanks to each of our interns: Olivia Escandell, Trey Lewis, Ashton Gambill and Meghan Higgans. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!
