Thank you to all First Coast Invasive Working Group; Jacksonville chapter of CISV-International Peoples Project; Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens horticulturists, animal keepers, plant keepers, and zoo teens; and GTM Research Reserve volunteers and rangers who spent two hot, sweaty days tackling two pockets of beach vitex, Vitex rotundifolia in Ponte Vedra Beach! Twenty CISV volunteers participated from the United States, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Austria and France making this an international event. The GTM Research Reserve will monitor these sites over the next few months for regrowth and plan additional work days if necessary. If you would like to volunteer at the GTM Research Reserve, click here for more information and registration.
